Plus Ultra signs its first Collective Bargaining Agreement for Ground Staff

26/05/2026

The airline has signed its first collective bargaining agreement for ground staff, the largest employee group within Plus Ultra, representing approximately one third of the company’s workforce.

The agreement, which will remain in force until June 2029, has been signed between the company and the employees’ legal representatives following a negotiation process “marked by the willingness for consensus and collaboration between both parties.”

Among the main measures agreed are salary increases, the implementation of remote working measures for positions compatible with this modality, and improvements to paid leave. The agreement also includes updates to several economic allowances, including standby duties, per diems, in-person training bonuses and transport allowances.

Although the full content of the Ground Staff Agreement will come into force following its publication in the Spanish Official State Gazette (BOE), many of the agreed improvements are already being applied from the date of signature. These include measures related to annual working hours, bereavement leave, transport allowances, standby duties and remote working.

For the company,

the agreement represents “an important step that completes the process which began almost a year ago with pilots, followed by cabin crew, and which has now resulted in the entire workforce being covered by company-specific collective bargaining agreements.”
