Operations total 21,061 hours, up 17% compared to 2024, with growth across all divisions: scheduled, charter and ACMI
Plus Ultra Líneas Aéreas recorded 21,061 flight hours in 2025, setting a new company record and representing a 17% increase compared to 2024. Growth was achieved across both scheduled routes and charter and ACMI operations.
Scheduled flight activity increased by 6%, reaching 13,800 hours on routes between Spain and Latin America. This growth was driven by higher frequencies to Lima — now operating six weekly flights — and to Colombia, where the airline operated up to nine weekly flights in 2025 across its destinations in Bogotá and Cartagena de Indias.
The ACMI and charter divisions accounted for 7,347 flight hours last year, representing a 45% increase in 2025. During this period, Plus Ultra carried out significant ACMI operations, including its agreement with Algeria’s flag carrier, Air Algérie, which involved operating international connections from Algiers to destinations such as Paris, Rome, Istanbul and Montreal, among others.
The addition of two new Airbus A330 aircraft to the fleet during the year strengthened the company’s operational capacity and supported growth across both scheduled services and ACMI and charter divisions. The increase in flight hours was achieved despite the closure of Venezuelan airspace in November 2025, which required adjustments to network planning to minimize its overall impact on operations.
According to Alejandro Casado, Chief Operating Officer of Plus Ultra:
“The increase in flight hours continues the upward trend of the past five years, driven by the expansion of the fleet with additional Airbus A330 aircraft and the diversification of the company’s business.”
