Plus Ultra joins IATA’s DDS Community platform

13/04/2026

The system supports revenue analysis, network planning and global travel trends

Plus Ultra Líneas Aéreas has joined the DDS Community, a business intelligence platform developed by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC), designed to enable agile, secure and efficient data exchange between airlines.

The DDS (Data Distribution Service) system was created to replace traditional messaging systems with a more agile and standardized model for real-time data exchange. Through this tool, airlines gain a more accurate view of global passenger flows by combining both direct and indirect sales data.

The platform processes a historical dataset of over 15 billion passenger flight records from hundreds of airlines. Its main functionalities include revenue analysis, network planning and the study of global travel trends, enabling more efficient demand management.

From a network planning perspective, access to the platform allows airlines to make more informed decisions regarding frequency increases, schedule adjustments or even the launch of new routes. Instead of relying on intuition or partial data, DDS members can identify real market opportunities with lower risk.

In the area of revenue management, DDS provides valuable competitive context. It enables airlines not only to optimize pricing based on their own demand, but also to understand how their offer is positioned in the market—identifying whether sales are being lost due to pricing, availability, scheduling or distribution channels.

Regarding sales channels, DDS helps identify growth opportunities to strengthen commercial agreements and incentive strategies. This is considered highly valuable by Plus Ultra,

“as it has a direct impact on revenue by improving the quality of distribution, not just volume.”

Company management highlights that:

“This integration represents another milestone in our digital transformation roadmap. It complements initiatives such as the renewal of our agreement with Jettainer for container management, the implementation of Internet of Things (IoT) technology, and our partnership with the British multinational Conduce, which has enabled us to deploy the eTechLog8 system across our Airbus fleet.”
