03/11/2025

Flights will begin in spring 2026, increasing to four per week from July.

Ticket sales are already underway.

Plus Ultra Líneas Aéreas will begin flying to Buenos Aires in spring 2026, expanding its regular destinations in the Americas. The Spanish airline will initially operate two weekly flights between Madrid and Ezeiza International Airport in the Argentine capital, increasing to four weekly flights from July.

The launch of the new route to Argentina is part of the company’s expansion plan, which includes the addition of two Airbus A330 aircraft by the end of 2025 and an increase in flight frequencies across all destinations. The airline’s seventh long-haul aircraft is scheduled to begin operations in November this year.

Plus Ultra has already started selling tickets to Argentina, with operations set to begin in May to coincide with the start of the high season. Buenos Aires joins the airline’s four regular destinations in Latin America: Bogotá, Cartagena de Indias, Lima, and Caracas.

The start of operations in Argentina also coincides with the 100th anniversary of the flight of the Plus Ultra seaplane, which gave the airline its name and marked the first-ever flight connecting Spain and South America in 1926.

According to Plus Ultra, The new route demonstrates our company’s ability to consolidate growth while meeting profitability and expansion goals in high-potential markets. Latin America remains our main focus, and we are already exploring new destinations to expand our commercial offering.

With the addition of Buenos Aires, Plus Ultra now operates eight regular routes. Its aircraft currently serve 18 countries across four continents through its various business divisions: scheduled flights, ACMI, charter, and cargo.
