Plus Ultra joins IATA’s BSP in Argentina

04/02/2026

The authorization represents a further step in the commercialization of the new route between Madrid and Buenos Aires

With its incorporation into IATA’s BSP (Billing and Settlement Plan) system in Argentina, Plus Ultra Líneas Aéreas strengthens the commercial structure of its new route to Buenos Aires, which begins operating in May with two frequencies, increasing to four in July. Travel agencies in the country will be able to issue the airline’s tickets directly, without additional intermediaries, streamlining commercialization. Likewise, ticketing may be carried out through the world’s main reservation systems, such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo.

The BSP is a system developed by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) that acts as a billing and settlement platform between airlines and travel agencies. Its main function is to simplify, automate, and secure ticket issuance, collections, and payment processes, centralizing all operations between both parties in a single system.

For the company, “being part of the BSP completes an initial phase that allows us to move forward with the launch of the Buenos Aires route in May, ensuring that our offer is immediately available at any point of sale in the country.”

The membership consolidates international expansion under IATA standards, guaranteeing safe and efficient financial operations in the Argentine market.
