Plus Ultra adds a new A330 aircraft to its intercontinental fleet

Plus Ultra Líneas Aéreas continues advancing in its fleet renewal process and in reducing emissions with the addition of an Airbus A330-300, its sixth aircraft from the A330 family and the first of this series. More efficient in terms of fuel consumption and emissions, the new aircraft completes its long-haul fleet and represents another step forward in the airline’s modernization plan, as it awaits delivery of another aircraft in the third quarter of the year.

The aircraft added to Plus Ultra has a capacity of 302 passengers, distributed between 30 business class seats and 272 economy class seats with greater seat pitch. The A330-300 is designed for long-haul operations, and its fuel efficiency combined with a higher passenger capacity translates into a significant reduction of CO₂ emissions per passenger-kilometer as well as lower costs.

Equipped with General Electric engines, the A330-300 is a wide-body twin-engine aircraft with dual aisles and a range of over 11,000 kilometers. The arrival of this new Airbus strengthens the Spanish airline’s regular routes to Latin America, where it has increased its flight frequencies in 2025.

The new A330-300 incorporated into Plus Ultra replaces the A340-300 that was recently retired from service, in line with the standards of the IEnvA environmental certification granted by IATA to the airline.
