The new Buenos Aires route takes center stage in Plus Ultra’s presence at FITUR 2026

26/01/2026

The launch of Buenos Aires as a new destination, together with the increase in frequencies to the Americas and fleet expansion, are the three pillars of Plus Ultra Líneas Aéreas’ offering at FITUR 2026, the world’s leading tourism trade fair.

The company’s presence at this edition is highlighted by the presentation of its new route between Madrid and Buenos Aires. Operations to the Argentine capital will begin this spring with two weekly frequencies to Ezeiza International Airport, increasing to four flights per week from July.

With this addition, Buenos Aires becomes the airline’s fifth regular destination in Latin America, the priority region in its growth strategy. According to David Blázquez, the company’s Commercial Director:

this new route is one of the most competitive and fastest-growing. Its launch confirms our solid operational performance and business capacity to attract families and small and medium-sized enterprises with a high-quality service

.”

At the same time, the airline is strengthening destinations where demand is strongest, particularly in Colombia. Cartagena de Indias, which has positioned itself as a strategic gateway to the Caribbean, will increase from three to six weekly flights. Combined with the three frequencies operated to Bogotá, Plus Ultra thus consolidates a total of nine weekly flights to the country, efficiently integrating operations at both destinations.

To support this growth, the Spanish airline is reinforcing its fleet with the addition of a new Airbus A330-343. This is the second aircraft of this version in the company and the seventh wide-body, long-haul aircraft of the A330 family, ensuring greater capacity and efficiency across all its intercontinental routes
