Plus Ultra resumes regular flights to Caracas today

03/03/2026

With the departure of an Airbus A330 from Madrid-Barajas Airport at 13:00, Plus Ultra Líneas Aéreas has today resumed its regular operations between Spain and Venezuela, following the normalization of air activity in the Latin American country.

This return to service is supported by a gradual frequency growth plan, beginning with three weekly flights from Madrid on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Starting April 1, the airline will increase its operations to four weekly flights by adding a Sunday connection from Tenerife. The service will reach full capacity on July 1 with five weekly frequencies, incorporating a fourth departure from Madrid — Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays — alongside the weekly operation from the Canary Islands.

The temporary suspension of the route, which began on November 23, 2025, was in compliance with recommendations issued by the Spanish Aviation Safety and Security Agency (AESA) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), in a context in which Venezuelan authorities temporarily revoked operating licenses for Spanish airlines.

During this period, the company’s priority was to protect passengers by providing alternatives to ensure their mobility — including date changes, refunds, and connections via Cartagena de Indias — in order to minimize any inconvenience.

With the reactivation of Caracas, Plus Ultra strengthens its regular network across the continent, where it already operates routes to Buenos Aires, Lima, Bogotá, and Cartagena de Indias. This offering is complemented by its global presence through its cargo, charter, and ACMI divisions, currently operating in more than 20 countries.
