Acquires the stakes held by Snip Aviation and Fly Spain following the ratification of the purchase agreements formalized in May
Julio Martínez Sola, Executive Chairman of Plus Ultra Líneas Aéreas, has secured majority control of the company after acquiring the stakes held by Snip Aviation and Fly Spain, which together represent 64.3% of the company’s share capital.
The transaction, which began to be negotiated in late 2024, was agreed in May and completed in early October this year, subject to the required authorization from the Spanish State Industrial Holdings Company (SEPI), which was granted in late November.
Plus Ultra Líneas Aéreas is considering the entry of new industrial partners, in addition to a capital increase. This measure, approved at a General Shareholders’ Meeting, is aimed at strengthening organic growth and supporting the company’s expansion process. The airline is currently in talks with companies interested in the Madrid-based carrier, which are expected to come to fruition throughout 2026.
To facilitate the divestment process, which began to be negotiated in late 2024, and as part of this process, the directors representing Snip Aviation and Fly Spain stepped down in September.
The acquisition of the shareholding coincides with the company’s tenth anniversary, at a time of full expansion marked by the enlargement of its Airbus A330 fleet, the launch of new routes such as Buenos Aires, and increased frequencies across all its destinations.
