13/01/2026

The aircraft supports the operational expansion of key routes such as Lima and Buenos Aires

Plus Ultra Líneas Aéreas strengthens its fleet with the addition of a new Airbus A330-343, the second aircraft of this variant in the company and the seventh wide-body, long-haul aircraft of the A330 family.

The aircraft has a total capacity of 299 seats, distributed across 36 Business Class seats and 263 Economy Class seats, featuring increased seat pitch to enhance passenger comfort. The unit is powered by two Rolls-Royce RB211 Trent 772B engines, delivering a significant improvement in fuel efficiency and emissions compared to other aircraft with similar fuselage size and performance.

The new Airbus A330-343 is particularly well suited for long-haul operations thanks to its extended range of over 13,000 kilometers and a cruise speed close to Mach 0.83. With the introduction of this aircraft, the airline strengthens its operational deployment, enhancing connectivity to key destinations such as Lima, where it already operates six weekly frequencies, and Buenos Aires, with four weekly frequencies starting in spring 2026.

According to Plus Ultra,

the arrival of the second Airbus A330-343 reaffirms our commitment to a well-proven, reliable aircraft with no technical uncertainties and equipped with advanced avionics. The expansion of our fleet supports sustainable growth, broadens our intercontinental network, and ensures an efficient and comfortable travel experience for our passengers.”

In line with its expansion plan, the airline expects to continue growing its fleet on an annual basis, alongside the launch of new routes in Latin America and the development of its various business lines.
